The way you apply for approval of building and development with us has changed - and has now expanded.
Earlier this year we introduced the requirement to lodge Development Applications (DA) and Complying Development Certificates (CDC) online via the NSW Planning Portal.
From 1 July 2021, the requirement to apply online expanded to include the following post-consent certificates:
- Construction Certificates (CC)
- Principal Certifier Appointments (PCA)
- Occupation Certificates (OC)
- Subdivision Works Certificates (SWC)
- Subdivision Certificates (SC)
As such, these applications will no longer be accepted over the counter or via email - they must be lodged online using the NSW Planning Portal. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to Register for a NSW Planning Portal account to start your application.
This change is in line with the NSW Government’s plan for all Councils to participate in their ePlanning platform for application lodgement.
Getting started
Getting set-up for online lodgement is simple and you can start using it straight away, here’s how:
- Go to planningportal.nsw.gov.au
- Click on ‘My Account’
- Select ‘Create Account’ and follow the prompts
Once created, you can apply online using the NSW Planning Portal.

We'll review your application and let you know via your ePlanning account if any further details or information are required.
Once your application is ready to lodge into our system for assessment, we'll get in touch to arrange payment of fees by credit card (or invoice to existing debtor account).
