The Albury Waste Management Centre is one of Australia’s most advanced waste disposal facilities.
It is important that the waste and recycling industry and councils continue to provide critical waste services to the public. This includes keeping waste and recycling centres open so that people can easily dispose of their waste.
People may leave their home to visit a waste facility to meet their household needs to dispose of waste.
Our Waste Management Centre is a drive-through facility that allows you to deliver all sorts of recyclable products and general waste at a series of easy-to-use drop-off points at a minimal cost.Contact us 565 Mudge Street,
Monday to Friday - 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Christmas Day and Good Friday - closed
You can make your way through the various drop-off points with a series of weighbridges calculating the charges that may apply. If you recycle as you go, you can save money – or even pay nothing at all.
Charges apply to any material that has to be buried in landfill, because it cannot be reused. The fees are based on weight.
For example if you are disposing of less than 100kg of general waste you'll pay only $5.00.
If you’re disposing of larger quantities, higher charges will apply. For example, disposing of 250kg of general waste into landfill will cost $38.25.
You can minimise your waste disposal costs by separating recyclable and reusable materials before you arrive. The more you sort, the more you can save and help our environment.View the charges
Our fee structure has been designed to encourage materials separation. Unit pricing is also in place for problem waste that is difficult and costly to process or handle.View the charges
