Australia Day

Join us as we welcome our new Australians, recognise those in our community for their valued contributions, and reflect on what it means to be Australian.

Thursday 26 January 2023

9am -  1pm
Noreuil Park Foreshore

Join us as we introduce and welcome our new Australians, recognise those in our community for their outstanding contribution and celebrate all the things we love about Australia: our land, sense of fair go, lifestyle, democracy, the freedoms we enjoy, and, in particular our people.

Our Australia Day celebrations are about what we have become as a nation, not how we started as one, and in acknowledging our indigenous communities and their welcoming nature.

Here's what we've got planned:
9.00am            Community Rotary BBQ & Albury City Band
9.50amWelcome to Country
10.00amCitizenship Ceremony
10.30am2023 Albury Award Presentations
11.00amLive Music by Luke Dewing

Our Australia Day celebrations are an alcohol-free event with limited food available for purchase, or feel free to pack a picnic to enjoy along the banks of our mighty Murray River.

We look forward to celebrating with you on Australia Day!

We're excited to introduce the winners of the 2023 Albury Awards who, along with the nominees were announced at a special ceremony held on Australia Day in Noreuil Park.
