Bravehearts' White Balloon Day

Wednesday 1 September 2021
AlburyCity is proud to announce our participation in Bravehearts’ 25th annual White Balloon Day, Friday September 10, 2021.

Bravehearts’ White Balloon Day is Australia’s largest and longest-running awareness and fundraising campaign dedicated exclusively to the prevention of child sexual assault and exploitation.

Alison Geale, CEO of Bravehearts says, “Now in its 25th year, Bravehearts’ White Balloon Day is an Australian institution that has changed the face of child protection in this country.”

“Whether you’re a parent or not, everybody has a role to play in looking out for Australian children and protecting them from harm so don’t miss out on your chance to be a part of this important cause.”

With approximately 1 in 5 children having experienced sexual assault or exploitation, everyone is stakeholder when it comes to child protection. Participating in Bravehearts’ White Balloon Day is an important and simple step Australians can take toward preventing this horrendous crime.

“We’re delighted that AlburyCity has joined forces with Bravehearts for White Balloon Day 2021 to raise vital awareness of child protection and much needed funds to support Bravehearts’ important work,” says Ms Geale.

Bravehearts’ White Balloon Day is held annually on the first Friday of September during National Child Protection Week.
