We’re here for you
The Library Museum and Lavington Library reopen on Monday 1 June with reduced hours. However, we will continue our expanded Home Library Service for eligible members until further notice.
This is designed to assist library members who are classed as vulnerable according to Government Health guidelines (over 70 or over 60 with an existing medical condition), have limited mobility, accessibility issues and who reside in the Albury Local Government Area.
The home library service will be available once a month for eligible members. Our team members will deliver books in bags to your front door and collect any bags of books for changeover. Library members will be contacted by phone with an approximate delivery time.
If you are interested in the service phone the LibraryMuseum on 02 6023 8333 or Lavington Library on 02 6043 5645 (between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday – Friday) or email email@example.com and a staff member will contact you to develop a reading profile and provide further information on the process.
If you're a person with disability or an older person who experiences challenges getting to and from your nearest library, we can help.
Our home library service will bring library items to your home and collect items to be returned – free of charge.
Once you have joined the service, we’ll be in touch to discuss the types of resources you’d like to borrow.
Items that can be delivered
- audio books
- books in other languages.
To help you choose items, search the library catalogue online.
Your library membership card also provides you with online access to a range of databases and digital resources including books, magazines, newspapers, movies and music.
