Everything we do, and every decision we make, is tied back to the things you tell us are important, whilst balancing this with prudent financial management decisions and delivering within the resources available. Consultation during our Towards Albury 2050 Community Strategic Planning, and recent budget planning is a great example of how you, our community has helped set the vision of what we want for the future, and how we are going to get there.
Our community vision to be a nationally significant regional city that is vibrant, diverse, innovative and connected, and inspired by its culture, environment and location on the Murray River is at the centre of everything we do, and it is so pleasing the we have so many passionate and engaged people within our community contributing to this vision every day.
And we want to keep hearing from you, whether it’s about a specific project or initiative, if it’s happening in your immediate local community, or whether it’s our strategic planning processes and vision for the future.
The Have your say section of our website is the best place to keep on top of what’s happening across our community, and where you can find all the projects that are open for consultation. I really encourage you to sign up to receive notification when we are seeking your input, and you can tailor the content to suit you so you can see everything that’s going on, or just the categories and locations of projects that are of interest to you.
Other ways to keep on top of open consultations is to follow our social channels like Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, to subscribe to our regular AlburyCity News emails, check your letterbox for communications from us, keep an eye out for signage in and around our community, drop into our pop-ups and information sessions, visit our Council Offices and Libraries, attend a Council Meeting in-person or online… you can even just give us a call or drop us an email.
A couple of key projects that are open for consultation at the moment include our Two Cities One Community Strategic Plan Review, our Retail Action Plan, and our draft Eastern Hill Masterplan - so jump onto the Have your say section of our website and have a look!
