Music in the Gardens is a series of free outdoor concerts set in the spectacular Albury Botanic Gardens, taking place on the third Sunday of March, April, May, September and November.
The Gardens are transformed into an open-air amphitheatre, inviting the community to unwind on the beautifully landscaped lawns while enjoying captivating performances from Australian and International touring artists.
Australian blues and soul powerhouse Karen Lee Andrews will kick off Music in the Gardens on Sunday, 16 March from 1pm - 3pm.
With a lifelong immersion in music, Karen’s journey has predominantly revolved around classic soul and rhythm and blues sounds. However, as her musicality has evolved, she’s embraced blues with a hint of gritty rock and power ballads, all while retaining the influence of soul, gospel, and her Polynesian heritage.
Karen Lee Andrews is known as one of Australia’s hardest-working live performers. She has played up and down the country in Australia at renowned festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Blues at Broadbeach, Dashville Skyline, Mitchell Creek Rock n Blues, Bluesfest Melbourne and WOMAD.
She has also supported music icons such as Jessica Mauboy, Ricky Martin, Liz Stringer, Icehouse and Jimmy Barnes. A captivating live act with a voice that will stay with you forever.
Music in the Gardens will be located in the rose garden area, due to the redevelopment of the Elms.
Food and drink will be available to purchase on the day, so BYO chairs or a picnic rug and head on down to the gardens from 12pm ready for the performance at 1pm.
