AlburyCity is now calling for nominations for the 2023 Albury Awards, celebrating those that have gone above and beyond for our community.

Each year, the Albury Awards highlight the diverse tapestry of talent and dedication within our midst, from community champions and dedicated volunteers to innovative thinkers and compassionate leaders.

In 2023 the awards will be even bigger and better, with even more categories to encapsulate the brilliant talent across the varied demographics and industries in our community.

The 2023 categories include:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Senior Citizen of the Year - NEW
  • Volunteer and Community Group of the Year
  • Active Citizen of the Year - NEW
  • Environmental Citizen of the Year - NEW
  • Creative Citizen of the Year - NEW
  • Mayor's Award - NEW

To make it a celebration that truly recognises the valuable contributions made by those nominated, the finalists will be acknowledged at a special gala event at the Albury Entertainment Centre on 19 January 2024.

AlburyCity Mayor Kylie King said “Each year I am humbled to hear the incredible stories of resilience, dedication and passion shown by members of our community.”

“We are now looking for our next round of community champions, so if you know of someone who deserves to be recognised in the Albury Awards make sure you nominate them.”

Nominations can be made before 6 December 2023 on the AlburyCity website.
