LibraryMuseum Room Booking Request

We have two meeting rooms and an activity room, suitable for groups of 10-60 people. We also have two study rooms, available for secondary or tertiary students.

Study Room Bookings

Study rooms are primarily for the use of secondary and tertiary students and are to be used for study purposes only

During exam periods, students will receive priority for bookings

Bookings will be cancelled if you fail to arrive within 15 minutes of your allocated time slot

COVID-19 changes

To ensure the health and safety of our readers, visitors and staff, and meet current public health orders, we currently we have 1 study room available for 1 person for a maximum of 2 hours per booking. Sanitiser will also be available in the study room

Please do not use the study room if you have a cough, fever or other cold or flu-like symptoms.

Meeting Room bookings

We have a number of meeting rooms available for hire, suitable for groups of 10-60 people. Fees apply.

COVID Safe

  • Contact details required for all attendees on entry of the library
  • Tables and chairs cleaned before and after room bookings
  • Sanitiser available in the meeting rooms
  • Tea, coffee and water unavailable at this time
  • If you are unwell, or present with any COVID symptoms are not permitted to attend
  • Room limits are not to be exceeded and social distancing must be maintained whilst using the room
  • Meetings are to be kept as short as possible.

Technology

  • Meeting Room 2 and the Activity Room have a projector and screen available at no extra cost.
  • Free wireless internet is available throughout the building.
  • Two hours of free internet use is available on our public computers.

If you need technical help, please make an appointment to talk to a LibraryMuseum team member before your room booking starts.

Catering

Self-catering is permitted in the meeting rooms. We can supply tea/coffee facilities. Meeting Room 2 has access to a small kitchenette.

Catering services are available through Retro Lane Cafe (located at the rear of the LibraryMusuem).

Parking

There is a free all-day car park five minutes' walk from the LibraryMuseum. Entry is from Wilson Street or Olive Street.

Free wi- fi is available throughout the LibraryMuseum building, and is accessible from each meeting room. Please note a limit of 500MB per device is allowed per 24 hours.
