Authorised AWTS Servicing Agents

All service agents who carry out inspections and/or perform maintenance work on OSSM systems must be suitably qualified persons and have appropriate training. A list of accredited servicing agents can be found below.

Service agents are to produce an inspection report for each service undertaken. This report is to certify compliance with operating requirements, specify repairs undertaken and results of any on-site tests. The service agent is to provide the owner with the original of this report, a copy to Council and keep a copy for their own records. Servicing agents must provide reports to Council within 28 days.

If a service agent observes that an OSSM system failure has been caused by improper use of the system, the service agent is to consult with the owner to ensure preventative actions are taken or issue remediated. If the problem continues, then the matter is to be reported to Council for appropriate action. When there is an identified pollution incident, e.g., effluent discharge the service agent is required to notify Council.
