Frequently accessed
Changing Places are accessible public facilities for people who cannot use a standard accessible toilet. They provide additional space and specialised equipment, including an adult-sized change table and ceiling hoist.
AlburyCity opened its first Changing Places facility at National Foresters Grove, Lavington, in May 2023.
A second Changing Places facility is available at Hovell Tree Park.
In order to access a Changing Places facility, you will need to have a Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK).
Master Locksmith Access Key
A limited number of Master Locksmith Access Keys (MLAK) are available from AlburyCity to eligible residents at no cost.
MLAK is a universal lock and key system that allows people with a disability access to public facilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including wheelchair accessible toilets and Liberty swings.
Applications are restricted to people with disability living in the Albury LGA with a limit one key per applicant. The key is not transferable and is only to be used by the person to whom it has been issued.
Non-Albury residents can purchase a key for $40.00 from the Customer Service team at the Kiewa Steet office or the Lavington Library.
