Use this service for general information about:

- flooding, bushfire and other property constraints
- relevant planning controls
- exempt development requirements
Use this service for more specific advice about:
- pools, sheds, patios, carports and garages
- new homes and secondary dwellings
- alterations and additions
- changing how a building or premises is used
- subdivisions of up to 10 lots
Request formal advice for proposals such as:
- commercial and industrial development
- residential flat buildings, shop-top housing and multi-dwelling housing
- childcare centres and seniors housing
- subdivisions of more than 10 lots
- designated or integrated development
- proposals involving significant environmental, heritage, bushfire, flooding or biodiversity constraints
- proposals with significant variations from planning controls

This service does not assess a development application or guarantee approval. Depending on your proposal, you may need advice from a planning consultant, architect, building designer, builder, engineer or land surveyor.
