Recycle unwanted mobile phones, chargers, accessories and wearable devices for free through MobileMuster.
What you can recycle
MobileMuster accepts:
- mobile phones of all brands
- mobile phone batteries
- chargers and accessories
- wearable devices, including smart watches.
Keep phones and their components together where possible. Do not place them in any kerbside bin.
Prepare your device
Before recycling a working phone:
- back up anything you want to keep
- sign out of your accounts
- remove personal information
- remove the SIM and memory cards
- perform a factory reset.
If the phone is damaged and you cannot remove its data, it can still be recycled. MobileMuster securely destroys remaining data during processing.

Recycle your device

Do not place mobile phones, batteries or accessories in any kerbside bin.

- Albury Upcycle and Recycle Shop, 565 Mudge Street, Hamilton Valley
- Mirambeena Community Centre, 19 Martha Mews, Lavington
- Orana Community Centre, 40 Cardo Drive, Springdale Heights.

Use your own packaging and a free Australia Post returns label, collect a MobileMuster satchel from Australia Post or order a satchel online.
Workplaces collecting multiple devices can arrange an appropriate collection service.
