Reading recommendations

Tell us what you've enjoyed recently, favourite authors, genres or who you're buying for, and we'll put together personalised recommendations.

Interlibrary loans

If an item isn't held by Albury LibraryMuseum or Lavington Library, we may be able to borrow it from another library.

Before you request an item:

  • Some items cannot be borrowed due to lending or copyright restrictions.
  • Fees may apply.
  • Delivery times vary depending on the lending library.
  • Loan periods and renewals are set by the lending library.

Interlibrary loan FAQs

Not all titles or formats are available through interlibrary loan. The lending library decides whether an item can be supplied and may place conditions on its use.

A non-refundable fee of $9.50 applies when you submit a request.

The lending library may charge additional fees. We will tell you about any additional cost and ask whether you want to proceed.

Delivery times depend on where the item is held and whether the holding library can lend it. We will contact you as soon as the item is available.

The lending library sets the loan period. It may also apply special conditions, such as requiring the item to be used within the library.

Ask library staff before the item is due. Renewals require approval from the lending library and may be refused.

Tell us as soon as possible if you no longer need the item. The initial $9.50 request fee is non-refundable.

You must pay any replacement or damage charges set by the library that owns the item. These charges can be substantial.
