Youth Council
Youth Council gives young people a formal voice in AlburyCity decisions and helps shape local initiatives.
- Who can participate: Young people aged 12 to 18 who live or study in the Albury local government area
- Meeting time: Tuesdays, 4.30pm–6pm during NSW school terms
- Commitment: Regular meetings and occasional additional activities

About Youth Council
Youth Council represents and advocates for young people in Albury. Members provide strategic advice to AlburyCity and help ensure young people’s experiences, priorities and ideas are considered in Council decisions.
Members also develop local initiatives, raise awareness of issues affecting young people and connect with community organisations and youth services.
What Youth Councillors do
Youth Councillors:
- represent the views and interests of young people
- provide input into Council plans, policies and decisions
- discuss current and emerging issues affecting young people
- develop local initiatives and projects
- connect with youth services and community organisations
- represent Albury’s young people at relevant forums and events

Eligibility
Young people aged 12 to 18 who live or attend school in the Albury local government area are eligible to apply for Youth Council.
Information about applications will be published on this page when positions become available.
Meeting commitment
Youth Council meets on Tuesday afternoons from 4.30pm to 6pm during NSW school terms.
Members may also be invited to attend additional meetings, activities and community events.
