The Book and Specimen exhibition highlights the development of libraries and museums in the Albury area.
Connecting people to knowledge and culture has played an important part in our shared history. Albury’s first library was founded in 1870, and a Free Industrial Museum was later formed to display natural and social history specimens from the local area.
This exhibition highlights the development of libraries and museums in the Albury area and reveals how they paved the way for the community hubs we enjoy today.
It brings together photographs and artefacts of these learning, recreation and memory places, including books with stories to tell and other curiosities from the collection.
