The Dogs Breakfast

A dog-friendly event for all ages celebrating all things Hairy Maclary.

Who let the dogs out?!  We did!  

And we want you to bring them along to join in the fun…

There will be plenty of ‘tail wagging’ activities, events and workshops including: a book signing with Dame Lynley Dodd, renowned author and illustrator of the bestselling Hairy Maclary series; a special Hairy Maclary storytime in the LibraryMuseum and a guided  tour of The Lynley Dodd Story exhibition with a  floor talk by the exhibition curator, Penelope Jackson.

Running order:

  • 8.15am  - Welcome Pet Blessing by Father Peter Macleod-Miller
  • 8.30am - Dog training presentation with Brydie Charlesworth
  • 9.00am - Exhibition floor talk by exhibition curator Penelope Jackson (LibraryMuseum)
  • 9.30am - Approaching dogs safely - Hume and Melrose Animal Hospital
  • 9.45am - Hairy Maclary Storytime
  • 10.15am - 11.30am - Book signing (Retro Lane Cafe - strictly one book per person)

We haven’t forgotten breakfast for you and your canines with delicious food and coffee options available.

Stall holders include: Rotary Club of Albury Hume, Happy Cat Donuts, ' Easy Catering ‘Dutch Pancakes', Albury City Rangers, RSPCA, Hume and Melrose Animal Hospital, Muscles & More, Townsend Vet Clinic, Glenys Smoked Pet Treats, Fur Mumma,  Dog Education – Brydie Charlesworth, Dr Jana,  Happy Hound Groomers, Snichols Giant Games, Carolyn's Photobooth, Dingaling Face Painting.

QEII Square is an ‘on lead’ park.

This event includes an Auslan interpreter.
