Artist call out - Nurture: it takes a village

We are looking for submissions for a new exhibition.

This intimate exhibition celebrates the experience of women on the land as parents through creative responses from local artists and makers. The works will explore how each woman has cultivated a village, a tribe, to support them.  And how this has empowered them to feel included rather than alone.

A series of community workshops will complement the exhibition, to further explore, cultivate and celebrate the theme.

DATE: 5 March – 19 June 2022  (including International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day)

Nurture: It Takes A Village will be featured in the Lane Gallery of the Albury LibraryMuseum. This L Shaped space attracts significant foot traffic as it is the thoroughfare between the Library and the Retro Youth Café.

The Lane Gallery is an intimate yet flexible space.  We welcome 2D works across any medium across both the fine art and craft field plus small-scale 3D works and assemblages that can be featured within display cases.

The most effective works will give the viewer an insight into your creative response to the theme or the village you have built to help with being a mother and a women of the land.

An exhibition loan fee of $290 is available for each work for the period of the exhibition at the LibraryMuseum
