Friday 6 March 2020
Celebrated children’s author Dame Lynley Dodd will bring the magic of her creations to local children during a special story time event at the Albury LibraryMuseum on Friday.

Dame Lynley will present a Hairy Maclary story to the children, as part of a major exhibition at the LibraryMuseum, The Lynley Dodd Story.

Visitors to the LibraryMuseum will also be able to meet exhibition curator Penelope Jackson.

The exhibition showcases more than 50 of Dame Lynley’s original artworks, depicting her enchanting characters such as Hairy Maclary, Scarface Claw and Slinky Malinki.

Charting her early work and including some of her lesser-known characters, The Lynley Dodd Story will be on display until 26 April.

Associated activities include the Dogs Breakfast, celebrating all things dogs and Hairy Maclary, at QEII Square this Saturday, and an exhibition floor talk on Sunday.
