New exhibitions at MAMA

A 13-metre bamboo bridge suspended over the foyer at MAMA represents a crossing to Asia in one of three new exhibitions.

Sarah Goffman’s Bridge to Asia hangs over a collection of hundreds of Asian-inspired objects in an interpretation of the artist’s dream of a literal bridge between Australia and Asia.

Also opening today is a photographic exhibition by Andrew Tenison, whose work features black and white staged photographs of the imagined life of a German World War Two serviceman. Some of the images were taken at Bonegilla.

These are two of three new exhibitions opening as MAMA launches its autumn season.
