11 November 2016

AlburyCity Mayor, Kevin Mack, will become an even stronger advocate for regional city living following his appointment as the new Evocities chair and spokesperson.

Cr Mack said he was excited to work with representatives from the six other cities to promote the abundance of opportunities on offer in the state’s regional cities.

The Evocities concept is a unique and valuable initiative that enables seven Councils to work collectively to attract relocators to their City, Cr Mack said.

"The campaign aims to change perceptions of life in a regional city and encourage people to live, work and invest in an Evocity. We have some really exciting initiatives planned for the remainder of the financial year and I'm looking forward to promoting the lower cost of living, strong career and business opportunities and enhanced lifestyle available across the seven cities", Cr Mack said.

The Evocities campaign launched a new creative look in June, including a refreshed logo and website, as part of its new integrated marketing strategy. The marketing direction has also seen a return to traditional advertising for the brand this financial year, in addition to ongoing digital advertising and public relations.

The seven Evocities are Albury, Armidale, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Tamworth and Wagga Wagga.
