AlburyCity Supports White Balloon Day
Fly a White Balloon Day activities will be held at the front of the LibraryMuseum on Thursday 10 September and throughout Dean Street to highlight the local community's stance against child abuse.
Activities will be held from 10am to 2pm and the balloons will be released at 12.20pm. All members of the community are welcome.
White Balloon Day is about creating awareness in our community that it is never OK to sexually abuse children and that children have the right to feel safe at all times.
As well as promoting services that are available to support children and families affected by abuse, activities will include live acoustic performances by Josh Quinn and the white balloons will be delivered to local businesses by students from Albury High School.
Local support agencies attending the event include the Aboriginal Health Service, Mission Australia, Westside Community Services and Albury Police.
