Following extensive public consultation in 2020, we’re embarking on a major program to replace or upgrade some of the city’s public toilet facilities, with funding support from the Federal Government.
There are two public toilets to be replaced while three new public toilets will be constructed
National Forester Grove - the existing toilet block at National Foresters Grove will be demolished and replaced with more modern facilities incorporating the city’s first fully accessible Changing Places public toilets.
Hovell Tree Park - We’ll demolish the old toilet at Hovell Tree Park and replace it with a modern facility which will incorporate the second fully accessible Changing Places facility. The toilet will be relocated closer to the Wood Fired Pizza Oven and the Albury Riverside Precinct (under construction).
Albury Regional Skate Park - With the popularity of the new Skate Park a new public toilet has been identified for the site
Lake Hume Village - A new public toilet facility will be constructed at the end of Ray Welsh Drive in the boat ramp car park.
Thurgoona Drive - A new toilet will be built alongside the Thurgoona bike path and close to Thurgoona Drive, providing walkers, cyclists and drivers with a new public toilet and shelter in this rapidly-growing area.
