Cultural Precinct Master Plan Review

We’re developing a Master Plan to guide the future of our Cultural Precinct and QEII Square

Project overview

We’re developing a Master Plan to provide a collective vision and long-term plan for our Cultural Precinct.  QEII Square is at the heart of the precinct, surrounded by cultural institutions such as St Matthews Anglican Church, Albury Library Museum, Albury Entertainment Centre and Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA).

Albury Cultural Precinct

The current Master Plan for the precinct was prepared in 2015. A review of this plan is required to effectively consider and integrate current plans and proposals being considered and agree a collective vision and long-term planning framework for the precinct.

The Master Plan review will be guided by community and stakeholder input at key stages throughout the project. This will enable the creation of a collective long-term vision for the our cultural precinct and help guide its future development and enhancement.

Key stages

  • Have a Say consultation (Closed – 20 November 2020) - Opportunity for community and stakeholders to share any issues or ideas and help develop a collective vision and key design principles for the precinct
  • Draft Master Plan (Early 2021) – Opportunity to provide feedback on the draft Master Plan
