Lavington Lions Reflection Area

The Lavington Lions constructed a wall in National Foresters Grove in 2009 which recognised Lions who had passed away whilst members of the Lions Club of Lavington.

During the design phase of the upgraded play space for the park, options for the relocation of the wall were investigated. In consultation with representatives of the Lions Club, a suitable area was identified to construct a replacement wall that overlooks the lagoon. The area has a great vista overlooking the water where you can sit and watch the waterbirds swim and feed.

The Lions reflection area can be accessed from the main pathway adjacent to the timber bridge. The start of the short pathway to the reflection area is adjacent to trees (Eucalyptus polyanthemos - Red Box) planted to celebrate 50 years of Lions Clubs International in Australia 1947-1997. The location of the new reflection area at National Foresters Grove is shown below.
