Australian War Memorial: Memorial Boxes

Memorial boxes are a fabulous learning resource for schools. They contain authentic and replica artefacts that students can handle, as well as photographs, case studies, uniforms, equipment, models, a DVD or video, oral histories and more. Click the links below for information on each of the boxes and contact the LibraryMuseum to arrange a loan.

There are four boxes in total:

  • Australia in the First World War
  • Vietnam: The Australian Experience
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander wartime service
  • Australia and the Second World War

Detailed information about each of the boxes, including learning materials, can be found on the Australian War Memorial website.

The boxes can be picked up for free from the LibraryMuseum or sent to your school for the cost of freight.
