We're investing in our essential services and infrastructure
Each year, we invest millions of dollars to ensure that our community has a reliable supply of clean, safe drinking water and an efficient and effective sewerage system.
In 2019-20, we’ll spend $9M from our water fund and a further $7.5M from our sewer fund on a range of projects, many buried deep underground, that provide enormous value to our residents and ratepayers.
|Thurgoona Wirlinga Precinct Upgrades||$2.6M||Install new water mains to supply existing and future households in this growth corridor. These works are the first stage in a series of upgrades that will see us spend around $15M over the next 7 years.|
|Water main replacement program||$2.3M||Ongoing program to address our aging infrastructure and we’ll continue our water mains cleaning program across the city.|
|Table Top supply improvements||$1.35M||Planning will commence to improve water supplies to Table Top by increasing the main along Gerogery Road to Table Top Road.|
|Ground Water supply investigation||$300K||Investigate a ground-water supply to safeguard Albury’s water supply in times of severe drought.|
|Sewer extension to Ettamogah||$3.8M|
Major infrastructure works are planned to extend the city’s sewer main to Ettamogah. The project will enable some existing customers as well as business relocating to the NEXUS industrial estate to be connect to the sewer.
|Sewer re-lining program||$1.1M||Reline aging and dilapidated sewer mains.|
