The Management Executive Team
AlburyCity's executive team comprises the General Manager and four Directors.
The General Manager, Frank Zaknich, is responsible for the day-to-day management of Council, exercising functions delegated by Council and all staffing matters. The position is also responsible for ensuring Council staff implement the decisions made by Council.
The organisation is divided into five directorates with responsibility for a variety of services and functions. Our Directorates.

The Executive Group provides the overarching strategic focus for Council's operations. The Group is comprised of the General Manager and Executive Support, who, along with Communications, Human Resources, Finance and Corporate Planning ensure that AlburyCity continues to be vibrant, engaging and lead with strong and effective governance.
The Executive Group also encompasses the Mayor and the Councillors, our elected representatives who oversee community governance across a wide range of issues.
Community and Recreation Group

Creating a vibrant, united and affable community atmosphere is a key priority for AlburyCity. This is where the Community and Recreation Group is so important. The Group works to plan, promote and develop social, cultural, recreational and children's services for the whole community – with a view to both current and future needs. Through partnerships with government and other agencies, the Group has a strong focus on planning to ensure the health and wellbeing of our community.
Economic Development and Tourism Group

The Economic Development and Tourism Group plays a leading role in ensuring Albury is presented as an appealing and attractive City for residents, business and visitors alike. By taking a pro-active and integrated approach to Economic Development, Commercial Strategy, Tourism Development, Visitor Information, as well as Events and Conferences, the Group ensures that long term strategies for the growth and prosperity of the city are achieved.
Planning and Environment Group
- Director, Michael Keys
The essence of the Planning and Environment Group is to develop Albury as a liveable and sustainable City. This multi-faceted Group includes; Planning, Building, Environmental Compliance and Sustainability, Customer Service and Information Management. Each of these teams work together to balance the growth of the City's economy with appropriate development, statutory requirements, social considerations, environmental and sustainability issues, as well as community needs, whilst also connecting AlburyCity with the community and delivering effective services across the organisation.

Whether directly or indirectly, the work of AlburyCity's Engineering Group touches the lives of Albury people every day. Among the extensive range of services the Group provides are; infrastructure development and maintenance, asset management, civil and landscape services, as well as water supply and treatment services. Operating the Albury Waste Management Centre, Albury Airport and Albury's Cemeteries and Crematoria are also key aspects of the Group.
