Project name

Stronger Country Communities Fund

Why did we consult?

AlburyCity was presented with an opportunity to apply for funding under the NSW Governments's Stronger Country Communities Fund.

Council put forward six projects as part of the Have A Say consultation, which had been identified by the community as part of the development of the community strategic plan, Albury 2030.

Council wanted to know which of the projects were most important to you in order to inform our funding submission.

What did we find out?

We received 349 submissions.  The Have a Say process asked you to indicate your preferences among the following projects listed below. Here's the results.

Noreuil Park foreshore car park improvements180
Lavington Playspace improvements180
Monument Hill improvements157
Cultural Precinct – QEII Square improvements154

What did we do with the feedback?

The feedback you provided will inform our funding submission to the NSW Government.
We have nominated your top three projects and as such Noreuil Park foreshore improvements, Lavington Playspace improvements and Monument Hill improvements will be included in our submission.

What happens now?

On 26 February, the NSW Government announced funding for all three projects has been approved, meaning AlburyCity can now move ahead on these important developments.
