Borella Road and Riverina Highway Corridor Strategy

We are seeking community input on the development of the Borella Road and Riverina Highway Corridor Strategy.

Share your views on traffic and transport, walking and bicycle paths, signage, landscaping and key precincts.

The Strategy aims to provide a long-term plan to support growth and development of this important corridor. We’ve engaged consultants, Ethos Urban, to assist in the preparation of this Strategy.

The Borella Road and Riverina Highway corridor study area extends from the Hume Highway interchange to Kerr Road (refer map below). The area contains a number of key sites and activities including:

  • Albury Airport
  • Health Precinct including the Regional Hospital, Cancer Centre and allied health
  • Business Parks - Airport Park and the future East Albury Industrial Precinct
  • Bulky goods retail precinct
  • Neighbourood shops – East Albury
  • Thurgoona-Wirlinga residential growth area.

Funding for the preparation of this strategy is provided by the NSW Government, Department of Planning and Environment.

Have a say

Help us shape the future of the Borella Road and Riverina Highway Corridor by completing the survey or attending the Community Workshop (details below).

Community Workshop

Thank you to everyone who attended the Community Workshop held at Council on Wednesday 13 February 2019.
We had a terrific response with more than 50 people attending and sharing a range of ideas and input to be considered by the project team in preparing the draft Corridor Strategy. Don’t worry if you couldn’t attend the workshop, you can still complete the survey below.

What happens next?

Once we've collated thoughts and ideas, the project team will prepare a draft Corridor Strategy that is expected to include short, medium and long-term plans.  There will be another opportunity to provide feedback based on the draft Strategy, which is anticipated in mid-2019.
