Recurrent funding and/or in-kind assistance is available for organisations to provide various cultural and/or community services and programs through recurring donations or event sponsorships.
To provide recurrent financial assistance through the annual budget and Operational Plan.
The assistance can be financial or in-kind. This form of assistance includes the annual scholarship programs approved by Council, the annual Donations and Sponsorships schedule adopted as part of the Operational Plan, subsidised lease payments for community groups leasing Council facilities, and the free entry to the landfill for approved registered charities and community groups.
To be eligible to apply, you must consider the following for your program, initiatives, or project:
The applicant must be incorporated or a registered legal entity and is not acting for private gain. The project must meet a community need. The organisation must initiate discussions with the AlburyCity Community Development team prior to submitting a formal application.

AlburyCity recognises that COVID-19 makes it extremely hard to plan and deliver programs / projects to the community. When Financial Assistance grants and Sponsorship is awarded to recipients it is with the intent that programs/projects will be delivered within an agreed time frame. If groups and individuals are having trouble to fulfil this requirement because of COVID-19, we will work with you to determine the best approach and outcome. Extensions may be granted, and other solutions developed.
Funding recommendations will be considered as part of the 2022/2023 Council budget process. It is anticipated that recipients will be advised of the funding decision in June 2022 when the budget is formally adopted.
