Waste and recycling

AlburyCity is leading the way in waste minimisation and recycling.

It is well on its way to achieving its 2020 target of reducing the amount of waste to landfill by 50% and is recognised nationally as having the lowest contamination rates for a kerbside collection service at 1%.

Initiatives such as Halve Waste, the new three-bin system, Albury Recycling Centre and major improvements at the Albury Waste Management Centre are all contributing to a significant reduction in the amount of waste buried at the landfill.
