Our services and facilities

To help stop the spread of COVID-19, some of our services and facilities have closed or have reduced operating hours.

The following services have already been disrupted as a result of the current advice from the federal and state governments

Airport

Albury Airport terminal is open for flight check-in times. Contact your airline for more information.
The Aerodrome continues to operate for General Aviation and Charter Flights.

Albury Animal Management Facility

Appointment only, until further notice. To make an appointment please contact 02 6025 9682 or 02 6025 1254. Business hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and Weekends 9:00 am to 10:00 am

Albury Entertainment Centre

Our Box Office has re-opened

Albury LibraryMuseum

Albury Swim Centre

Re-opened Monday 21 September 2020 - Saturday 24 April 2021

Albury Upcycle and Recycle Shop Friday 1 May 2020

Operating hours will be from 10:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday and 10:00am to 2:00pm Saturday and Sunday

Albury Waste Management Centre

Existing operating hours are in place. People may leave their home to visit a waste facility to meet their household needs to dispose of waste.

Botanic Gardens and Wonga Wetlands

150 guests, or one guest per 4 square metres may attend a wedding service, whichever is the lesser.  This capacity limit also applies to wedding services held at a place of public worship. Children count towards the capacity limit.

Council Meetings

Due to Government recommendations around public gatherings introduced to minimise the impact of COVID-19, a total of 10 general public members will be allowed to attend the meeting in the Chamber.
Members of the public are encouraged to watch these meetings on our live stream

Glenecho Community Centre

Re-opens Monday 22 June.

Glenmorus Gardens Administration Office

Closed from 5:00 pm Friday 27 March 2020. Phone enquiries and meetings by appointment will still occur and the cemeteries and crematorium will remain operational for funeral services and bookings in line with Government guidelines:

  • The maximum number of people who may attend a funeral or memorial service or a gathering following a funeral or memorial service, is the lesser of one person per 4 square metres or 100 people. Funerals at outdoor public places or a place of residence are subject to the same limits.

Home library service

An expanded home library service is available for vulnerable members of the community. Contact the LibraryMuseum on 02 6023 8333 for more information.

Lauren Jackson Sports Centre

Re-opens Monday 22 June. The facility will be operating with reduced courts, set days and times. Bookings are essential.

Lavington Library

From Monday 19 October 2020, the Lavington Library will be returning to pre-COVID opening hours, with reduced services including library borrowing and returning and public access technology (limited computers). Read More

Lavington Swim Centre

Re-opened on Tuesday 6 October 2020 - Sunday 28 March 2021

Les O’Brien Athletics Precinct

Re-opened Monday 18 May 2020 as per Stage 1 guidelines.
Social distancing restrictions apply to group numbers.

Mirambeena Community Centre

Re-opens Tuesday 23 June.

Mother and Baby Restrooms in QEII Square

Closed from 4:00 pm Thursday 26 March 2020

Murray Art Museum Albury

MAMA has reopened with a modified exhibition program and additional safety measures.

Parks and reserves

Boot camps, personal training operating outside are limited to groups of no more than 10 people and social distancing must be exercised.

Play spaces

Outdoor fitness stations, play spaces, parks and reserves and barbecue areas are open from Friday 15 May 2020 following the NSW Government’s advice. It’s important that those choosing to use these facilities follow strict hygiene with frequent washing of their hands and adhere to social distancing.

Public consultations

Online only. No community information sessions to be held.

Retro Lane Cafe

Opens Wednesday 17 June. Opening hours will be 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday and 9:30 am – 1:30 pm on Saturday, for both takeaway and sit-down meals.

Uiver Café & Bar at Albury Airport

Opens Monday 22 June for both takeaway and sit-down meals.

Visitor Information Centre

Our Visitor Information Centre is open from Monday 1 June 2020.

Waste and Recycling (Kerbside) Collection
