Holmwood Cross Drain Reconstruction

2021/2022 Budget: $300,000

Completion: December 2021

This project objective is to fully reconstruct the open concrete drain between Holmwood Cross and Albury TAFE.

Albury Entertainment Centre Convention Wing Redevelopment

Completion: September 2021

We’re proposing a major redevelopment of the Albury Entertainment Centre (AEC) Convention Wing to create a leading regional events, conference and function venue.

Lauren Jackson Sports Centre Upgrade

Total budget: $11M

Completion: June 2023

Detailed investigations and planning for Stage 1 upgrades will be undertaken during 2019-2020 to ensure the facility is bought up to modern standards and accessible for all users.

Mate Street Beautification Project

Total budget: $900,000

Completion: May 2021

We’re planning important infrastructure and streetscape improvements on Mate Street between Urana Road and Tarakan Avenue.

Airport Precinct Expansion

2021/2022 Budget: $700,000

Completion: June 2022

Works are underway on the expansion of the general aviation western precinct to meet future demand for airside lots.

NEXUS Industrial Precinct

2020/2021 Budget:

Total budget: $30M

Completion: December 2021

This exciting project will see the finalisation of infrastructure construction as part of the NEXUS Industrial Precinct, including the much anticipated Davey Road interchange.

South Albury Levee (Australia Park)

2021/2022 Budget: $250,000

Completion: October 2021

This project is to construct/realign a portion of the South Albury Levee within Australia Park.

Emergency Management Centre Stage 2

2021/2022 Budget: $400,000

Completion: June 2022

We are leading an innovative and ambitious approach to regional emergency services management with the establishment of a multi-purpose co-ordination, response and training facility at the Albury Airport.

Lavington Sports Ground Redevelopment

Total budget: $19.6M

Completion: 2021-2022

This major redevelopment will transform the Lavington Sports Ground into one of regional Australia's premier sporting facilities, capable of hosting local, regional, state and national carnivals, community sport and other events.

The project consists of a full reconstruction of Hawksview Road from Knoble Road to Annaconda Lane.

This project will meet the request of Thurgoona residents for a new place for children to play at Murray Park Estate.

Equestrian Centre Improvements

Completion: October 2020

This project involves the construction of covered stables, road works and camping area upgrades at the Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre Thurgoona .

Sewer Rehabilitation Program

This year, the ongoing annual program will ensure the continued inspection of the network and rehabilitation works where necessary.

We’re reconstructing the Day Street storm water drain to improve the functionality, amenity and environmental impacts to the area.

Airport Taxiway Charlie - Stage 2

Delays to landing and take-offs at the airport will be reduced and safety improved by the extension of Taxiway Charlie.

The project involves the construction of new change rooms for AFL and netball and associated public amenities

The consistent management of water quality at the Albury Swim Centre will be improved by the installation of six new filter units in the plant room.

As part of the redevelopment of Ernest Grant Park at Thurgoona, we have constructed outdoor fitness zones on the site.
