Kevin is married to Jill, has four children and has been a Victorian Policeman for past 38 years, working as a youth and community practitioner for the past decade.
He works with young people, families and community agencies to provide early intervention programs and initiatives to work with ‘at risk’ youth.
Kevin was the founder of Youth Albury Wodonga, was the 2010 Albury Citizen of the Year, 2007 Police Youth Officer of the Year and received a Paul Harris Fellow for his work with young people.
He is passionate about the well-being of young people and their families.
Kevin brings a wealth of experience to the role of Mayor, having been elected to Council in 2012, serving as Mayor for two years and Deputy Mayor for one year.
He is a board member of the Border Trust, Big Day Off for Spinal Cure, Youth Albury Wodonga and is the Independent Chair of Albury Wodonga Headspace.
Kevin says that over the past four years Councillors have worked hard with staff to provide first class outcomes for our community. He says it is important to provide our growth corridors with the necessary infrastructure to prosper.
Kevin is passionate about our city and considers it to be Australia’s premier regional city because from our arts and culture, to premier sporting facilities, cycling paths and major events, we offer it all here in Albury.
