Alcohol Free Zones & Alcohol Prohibited Areas

To enable everyone to enjoy the city safely, Albury CBD and Lavington CBD are alcohol-free zones, apart from exempt areas for outdoor dining.

Alcohol Free Zones relate to streets, footpaths and Council owned car-parks.

Alcohol Prohibited Areas relate to parks.

Police have the right to seize and tip out alcohol if you are found to be drinking while you are in these locations.

Alcohol Prohibited Areas include QEII Square. If you wish to hold a wedding, an event, a conference etc in the park and you would like to have alcohol at your event, we may be able to grant you an exemption. For further information on exemptions contact AlburyCity Customer Service or our Events Team on 02 6023 8111.
