How we work
We are committed to providing high-quality education and care for children, and believe that to do this we also need to be continually improving our practices. The National Quality Framework gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our practices and be assessed to ensure that we are providing high-quality services.
Belonging, Being and Becoming
The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia informs the development of our programs to enhance each child's learning and development. Our programs are designed to enable children to learn through play - interacting with peers and educators to extend their learning, encounter new ideas and challenge their thinking.
Our educators are skilled in extending children's learning through intentional teaching, responding to spontaneous events and taking a holistic approach to learning and well being. Our environments are welcoming spaces where children can move between a variety of experiences at their own pace, guided by their own interests.
Our philosophy guides our daily practices at Banjora. We are committed to providing a sustainable environment and educational opportunities. We encourage children to be involved through our outdoor play area where they can be involved in gardening and exploring the natural environment.
We also take the children on regular excursions where they can play and learn. Bush walking on Nail Can Hill is one of the favourite outings, giving the children opportunities to look for kangaroos and other animals, find beautiful wildflowers or create artworks from sticks and leaves. It's part of the program to keep the children engaged and active - and it's lots of fun!
