Support for sporting clubs

Access sports-ground bookings, club development resources, volunteer guidance and support for operating a successful sporting organisation in Albury.

Community sporting clubs and active recreation organisations help people connect, participate and stay active. AlburyCity supports clubs with access to sporting grounds, booking services, planning advice and links to useful club-development resources.

Book and use a sports ground

AlburyCity’s sporting grounds are available for casual and seasonal use by sporting clubs, community organisations and other groups.

A casual booking covers fewer than five sessions. A seasonal booking covers a winter or summer sporting season.

Before you make a booking

Before submitting your request:

  • find a ground suitable for your sport or activity
  • check the ground’s facilities and availability
  • obtain a current public liability insurance certificate providing at least $20 million cover
  • prepare a risk assessment specific to your proposed activity or event
  • review the conditions, responsibilities and fees that apply.

Submit your risk assessment at least seven days before your activity.

Your booking is not confirmed until AlburyCity has assessed the request and issued confirmation or a booking permit.

  • supporting volunteers to develop their skills
  • recognising and celebrating their contribution
  • responding appropriately to concerns or inappropriate behaviour.
