Q: Is microchipping compulsory for cats and dogs?

Q: Can I come into Council to register my cat or dog?

Answer: Yes, we’ll be more than happy to assist. Once your cat or dog has been microchipped, you then need to lifetime register it by 6 months of age. Your pet also needs to wear a collar and an identification tag.   (Updated 04 Jan 2017.)

Q: The dog next door barks constantly. What can I do?

Answer: Unfortunately, we don’t have the expertise to handle wasps’ nest on privately owned property. We suggest you call a professional pest control company. Q: I have a snake in my backyard. Who do I call?

Answer: AlburyCity doesn't handle snakes. If, however, the snake is in a high profile public park, such as Noreuil Park, Oddies Creek playspace or the Albury Botanic Gardens, please call Customer Service on 6023 8111 or the after hours emergency number.   (Updated 07 Jan 2019.)
