Industrial
When it comes to quality industrial land, there is no shortage in Albury. For further information on purchasing land in Albury's two premier estates click here. Albury is also home to the multi-million-dollar Ettamogah Rail Hub - further information on this development can be found here.
Commercial
A range of multi-storey commercial developments are occuring across the city, and include Lavington Northpoint Tower, Sovereign Central, Sakura Residence and Chambers and two other CBD fringe developments. The projects have a combined value of $64million and are in various stages of planning and construction.
Upon completion they will provide premium office space for existing Albury business and opportunities for new business looking to establish a presence in the city.
Retail
Retail space in Albury's CBD is set to grow, with plans well underway for the construction of the $25million Proton Development. Located in the heart of the city, the development will provide an additional 12,000sqm of prime CBD space. Construction is set to commence in mid-2009.
The Harvey Norman Homemaker Centre, located just five minutes from the city centre, is just one great example of AlburyCity's commitment to working with business. AlburyCity recognised the need for a dedicated bulky goods precinct and indentified the former coursing ground in Borella Road as the preferred location. After facilitating acquisition of the site, AlburyCity sought expressions of interest from potential developers. As a result, Harvey Norman were the successful proponents and have now established the 25,000sqm centre at a cost of $21million. The centre is now fully leased.
AlburyCity has since attracted a Sydney-based developer for the site previously occupied by Harvey Norman at 430 Wilson Street. Work is complete on the $8.5million redevelopment of this site, and has created an additional 2,890sqm of quality commercial space.
An additional bulky goods centre is planned immediately adjacent to the Harvey Norman Homemaker Centre. This development, known as Habitat HQ, is valued at $10million. Construction is yet to commence.
