Roads & Footpaths
AlburyCity is responsible for the maintenance and upgrading of almost 500 kilometres of local roads and 184 kilometres of footpaths.
In the past four years, the Council has invested more than $30M on improving roads and footpaths across the city, including $7M this Financial Year.
Of this, almost $3M will be spent on reconstructing around 1.2km of city roads, including stages one and two of Corry's Road, and sections of Foresthill Avenue, Kerr Road, Rose Street and Stephen Street.
Twenty streets totalling 7.6kms will be rehabilitated over the next 12 months, the most notable being parts of Catherine Crescent, Dights Forest Road (formerly Jindera Table Top Rd), Kemp Street, Prune Street and Urana Road.
A further 20 streets totalling more than 9kms will be resealed, the most significant being a 1.4km section of Kaitlers Road.
AlburyCity's extensive footpath construction program continues with a further 1.6kms of pathways to be installed. New footpaths costing $300,000 are planned for Bridge Street, Doultan Drive, Fellowes Crescent, Regina Avenue, Sunset Drive, Unger Street and Valverde Court.
