Getting an Education

school childrenSo you're ready to do a little homework on Albury's educational services?

There's one thing you'll be pleased to learn: From pre-school to post-grad, we have your needs covered.

The region offers a wide range of educational options, with over 1,700 child care places, 32 pre-schools, 50 primary schools (38 government and 12 private), 24 secondary schools (16 public and eight private), two universities, two TAFE campuses and a Community Education Centre for adult learning.

Even if your educational interests extend to artillery or acrobatics, we've got those areas covered too. The Army Logistic Training Centre is located at nearby Bandiana, while Albury is the base for the internationally renowned Flying Fruit Fly Circus, which provides academic tuition as well as circus training.

Beyond the conventional classroom, our $14M LibraryMuseum is itself a superb centre of learning.

It offers a range of resources and exhibitions, and includes Infozone, a specialised research area where visitors can, with the help of dedicated staff, access all reference materials, internet technology, and back issues of local and national newspapers.

The LibraryMuseum also provides research skills training, curriculum-linked education programs, and professional development for teachers.
