Harvest
As winner of the 2012 Susan Moorehead Memorial Award, Richard Janson presents his first solo exhibition. The exhibited work incorporates use of a manual camera, reflectors, studio and handheld light effects during long exposures as Janson 'paints' using light to reference 17th century Dutch still life painters. Emulating their dramatic use of light and composition, the artist constructs and captures a time-lapse scene of entropy as he comments on time and mortality and reflects on relationships between food and our modern consumer ways.
