There are many examples of Indigenous mentors in our community. Role models Pastor Cec Grant and artist Treahna Hamm have brought our region to the international and national stage. Pastor Cec Grant has a heart for his people and is proudly Wiradjuri, he was awarded an Order of Australia medal for his work with the community and fostering of the Indigenous Wiradjuri language. Treahna Hamm has established herself as an artist of international repute, a member of the Yorta Yorta tribe, a possum skin cloak maker, printmaker, sculptor, weaver and painter.
