An exhibition of paintings by Deb Mostert. A Queensland-based painter, Deb Mostert playfully arranges and documents humble collections of plastic toys, old tin toys and miniatures.
This exhibition explores our childhood past, a bygone era of wood and steel toy cars and dolls, far past our modern age of plastic transformers and Nintendo's.
Focussing on objects that are often undervalued, her paintings celebrate childhood memory and the stories that lurk beneath the surfaces of plastic, porcelain and tin. Deb is widely exhibited in Australia and winner of numerous art prizes in QLD and NSW.
