Rex Bramleigh is an artist associated with the School of Tonal Realists, a group of painters that used tone and form to create an image in opposition to creating images through line. The School of Tonal Realists was founded by Scottish born, Australian Artist, Max Meldrum.

A number of portraits painted by Bramleigh are held in significant Australian collections, these include Australian Parliament House, Melbourne Cricket Club and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Melbourne.

 

This undated portrait titled Rosemary, was acquired by the AlburyCity Collection in 1955.
