Become a member!
Simply visit the LibraryMuseum or Lavington Library to fill out an application form and provide proof of your current address. If under the age of 18 you'll need a parent or guardian to sign.
What do you get as a member?
- Information and reading materials for loan
- Access to a range of materials to satisfy your information and leisure needs, including fiction and non-fiction, large print books, books on CD, music CD's, DVD's and magazines.
- You can use you card at either the LibraryMuseum or Lavington Library
- Material can be borrowed for two weeks
- You can search, reserve and renew your items online
- Material from other libraries
- We can arrange loans of community language books from the State Library of NSW. If AlburyCity doesn't hold a book or item you would like we can arrange a loan from another library (fees may apply).
Technology at the LibraryMuseum
Free Internet access for an hour per day and free Wi-Fi hot spot for wireless enabled laptops.
There's also computers available with:
- Internet access
- Microsoft access
- Scanners
- Kidspace computers with filtering software
- Access to a wide range of databases and Family and Historical CDROM's
- Printing and photocopying (charges apply)
- Microfilm and microfiche reader printers at the Library Museum providing access to the Border Mail on microfilm
- CD listening stations at the LibraryMuseum
Housebound Library Service
This service is provided to residents who are unable to visit Albury libraries due to age, illness or disability whether temporary or permanent.
Materials are selected according to your needs and delivered to your home on a regular basis. A range of materials are available for loan including fiction and non-fiction, large print , books on CD, music CD's and DVD's.
