A popular hang-out for young people
AlburyCity has built three skate parks across the city for the enjoyment of young skateboard enthusiasts.
David Street Skate Park
David Street skate park is located adjacent to the JC King Park netball courts.
The park comprises a large continuous concrete bowl with the following:
- Funbox
- Jump box
- Two long quarter pipes
- Two sets of steps with rails
- Two 45 degree hips
- Separate 12 ft steel vert ramp
Thurgoona Skate Park
The Thurgoona skate park is located in Bogong Street, as part of the Ernest Grant Park complex. The Park consists of a small concrete half bowl adjacent to a challenging concrete halfpipe.
The park has access to a bubbler and is adjacent to a sporting field and playground.
West Albury Skate Park
The West Albury skate park is located in the south west corner of Haydon Park - adjacent to Bonnie Doon Park. The facility can be accessed from Pemberton Street or via pathways from Jacaranda Street, Banksia Street and Bonnie Doon Park.
The design consists of a large concrete half pipe with the following activities:
- Two transitions
- Centre rail
- Fun box
The skate park is located in an active sporting area of West Albury with surrounding sporting ovals with training lights, changerooms and public toilets and a multi purpose sports court.
