Bonegilla Migrant Reception Centre 70th Anniversary Collection Tours
When: 11am - 11:45am Saturday 18 November 2017
Where: LibraryMuseum, Corner of Kiewa and Swift Streets, Albury
Between 1947 and 1971, the Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre was the first home in Australia to over 300,000 migrants from more than 30 countries. This year marks 70 years since this nationally significant site began operating as a migrant centre. To highlight this important milestone, Albury LibraryMuseum will be hosting special tours of the Bonegilla Collection, including the chance to view rarely seen photographs and artefacts and new acquisitions.
