The Albury LibraryMuseum is turning 10 years old on Thursday 27 July and we are throwing a party to celebrate but we can’t celebrate without you!
Over the past 10 years the LibraryMuseum has had 2.5 million visitors through the door. Now that’s a good reason why we are celebrating and thanking you for your support over the years.
Come along and blow the candles out on the cake, take a peek behind the scenes or meet a mystery guest.
Preschool Storytime for 3 -5 year olds : 10.30am – 11.15am
Come along with your little ones to our regular storytime and share songs, rhymes and all the fun of great stories based on counting from 1 to 10 and back again.
Cutting of the Birthday Cake 11.00am – 11.45am
Enjoy the music of the talented Lavington East Public School choir and a delicious morning tea with our Deputy Mayor, Cr Amanda Cohn. Stay on and join the Behind the Scene Tour at 12noon.
Behind the Scene Tours 12noon, 6.00pm (approximately 30mins per tour)
Have you ever wondered where library books go once they are placed in the returns chute or how large objects like submarines are included in exhibitions when they don’t fit through the doors? Take a peek at some of the everyday—and extraordinary—things that happen behind the scenes at the Albury LibraryMuseum. Suitable for budding librarians and curators as well as the curious.
After School Fun 3.30pm – 5.00pm

Enjoy a celebratory drink, reminisce over the LibraryMuseums past 10 years, take a sneak preview of our newest touring exhibition Theatres of War and take part in a behind- the -scenes tour, with a twist.
